Charnwood is a Nursery School and Family Centre.
In brief, our services include:

An Inclusive Nursery providing mainstream and special education for children aged 3 to 5 years. We have 50 places in our morning nursery and 25 places each afternoon.

An Opportunity Group where parents and their children from birth to 3 years can enjoy all our facilities with qualified staff on hand to support and advise.

A Family Centre providing support for families by meeting and talking with professionals, discussing issues with other parents at our parenting courses and participating in our parent support group.

A Toy Library is available to all our nursery pupils and those attending Opportunity Group.

A Playscheme gives a break in the summer holiday to parents whose children have special needs.

A Before and After School Club enables parents to extend their children’s nursery hours to fit more easily around work commitments.

Jigsaw is a support group where parents of children with special educational needs can meet to discuss matters of mutual interest and concern.

4 O’clock Club provides ongoing support for families of children with special needs who have moved on from Charnwood.
